Bhavsinhji High School
Bhavsinhji High School is a government secondary school in Porbandar, established in 1904 and managed by the state Department of Education. It offers Gujarati-medium, co-educational schooling for classes 9 to 12.
The school takes its name from Maharana Bhavsinhji Madhavsinhji, who ruled Porbandar State from 1900 to 1908. He was a progressive, reform-minded ruler educated at Rajkumar College, Rajkot, who modernised the state’s administration and expanded its network of schools, part of a broader legacy of education that later grew to over 130 schools in the state, including several reserved for girls.
