Dr. V.R. Godhaniya Mahila College (Girls College)
Dr. Virambhai Godhaniya College of Arts, Commerce, Home Science and Information Technology for Girls (commonly Dr. V.R. Godhaniya Mahila College) was founded by the Shri Maldevji Odedara Smarak Trust, Porbandar in 1988. It is a Grant-in-Aid college centrally located on Khijdi Plot, M.G. Road, Porbandar, and specifically caters to women, including students from socioeconomically weaker sections of the region.
The college is affiliated to both Saurashtra University, Rajkot (its original affiliation) and Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh, which took over academic jurisdiction of the district from 2016. It achieved NAAC Grade A accreditation following its fourth-cycle assessment (peer team visit October 2023), and today serves more than 1,700 students under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Virambhai Rajabhai Godhaniya and Managing Trustee Shri Arjunbhai Devabhai Modhvadiya.
