Government Polytechnic Porbandar
Government Polytechnic Porbandar was established in 1960 and shifted into its present building in 1965. Spread across a 35-acre campus near the old airport on NH-8B, it is administered by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat, and approved by AICTE.
The institute began by offering Diploma programmes in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering. Diploma in Computer Engineering was added in 2001 and Diploma in Transportation Engineering in 2007, reflecting evolving industry needs in the Saurashtra region. It is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad, and admissions are managed centrally through ACPDC, Gujarat.
